Michel Schmidt was born in 1979 and obtained his law degree (Master) at the University of Geneva in 2003. He passed his Bar exams in 2008.
In between, he spent two years in the U.S.A, where he worked for a mediation company and obtained a Master degree in comparative law (L.LM) at California Western School of Law, San Diego and a Master degree in business financial administration (MBA) at National University, San Diego.
He currently works in the cantons of Vaud and Geneva and has been a partner at Schmidt, Jaton and Partners since 2015.
His main areas of expertise are construction and real estate law, work contracts and mandates, banking and finance law, family law and criminal law. He regularly pleads in administrative, civil and criminal Courts.
Michel Schmidt is also a member of the board of directors of various companies and associations mainly active in real estate.
He is President of the Association Pic-Vert Assprop Geneva, Vice-President of the Association Assprop Vaud, member of the land use and urban planning Commission of the Canton of Geneva and member of the Council of the Fondation Bioparc Geneva Pierre Challandes.
He practices in French, English and Italian.
