Maître Pierre-Alain Schmidt was born in 1956. He studied Economics in St-Gall and Law in Geneva. He passed his Bar exams in Geneva.

He is the founding member and partner of Schmidt, Jaton and Partners, established at the beginning of 1985.

He is a member of the Bar Association of the Canton of Geneva and of the Swiss Bar Federation.

His main spheres of activity are business law, contract law, corporate law, banking and finance law, construction and territory planning, Swiss and international tax law, debt enforcement and bankruptcy law and arbitration as well as inheritance law and trusts.

Maître Pierre-Alain Schmidt is also a director of various companies and of a bank, president and founder of the Foundation “Conteurs sans frontières”, president of Assprop Switzerland (home owners association) and has been mayor of the commune of Mies since 2011.

He practices in French, English and German.
